The Dachstein West area is a truly dual season resort. With summer temperatures up to 38 degrees and abundant snow from December to April the choice of activities is endless. From conventional skiing and boarding to snow shoeing, cross country skiing, sledding and tubing in the winter to mountain biking hiking summer tobogganing, lake swimming, canyoning, rafting and kayaking in the summer to name just a few. The historic city of Salzburg is only 40 - 50 minutes away and there are many buildings and castles of historic interest to explore.

The ski area expands to 140km of slopes as well as 130km of groomed cross country trails. There are 46 lifts and gondolas and the area has the reputation of being one of the most family friendly resorts in Austria with the added bonus of queue free lifts for most of the season and competitively prices ski passes.
